Some of the top places to stay close to the downtown area are the Hotel Route-Inn Koga Ekimae and Hotel Route-Inn Oyama.

You might like to look into some other hotels, such as the Route-Inn Grantia Hanyu Spa Resort or the Hotel Route-Inn Mooka. The former is located 20 kilometres from downtown, while the latter is 30 kilometres away. Utsunomiya Castle Ruins Park and Hachimanyama Park are a few more which are sure to offer up some photo ops.
