Cockroaches!!!!

We arrived to a friendly and helpful staff. The hotelis conveniently located, the room and hotel looked lovely, nicely decorated and clean. However, in the morning before our flight we discovered a few VERY large cockroaches scurrying across the floor near our luggage as we packed. We were beyond horrified!! We quickly gathered our things and got out of the room. The front desk receptionist was helpful, empathetic and profusely apologized for our experience. We were disappointed we never did receive a call or an email from the manager (as promised) addressing the situation and reimbursing us.

We had an amazing stay at the Renwick. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. They had umbrellas to borrow and all the amenities for a great stay. The beds were comfy, the rooms a decent size for nyc. Location was perfect.

Very nice “non-hotel” option. Good sized room with fairly high ceilings due to the old artist loft construction from 20s. Nicely appointed and warm. Super close to Grand Central but felt just far away enough to be not loud.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to Grand Central, Bryant Park and The Chrysler Building. The staff were in the main very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, with excellent bathrooms. There is free coffee in the dining room downstairs in the mornings, and you can buy a pastry for $3. The only downside is the $50/night deposit. On Expedia, it is advertised at $100/stay. As we stayed 6 nights, we were charged $300 each, which is a bit of a hit if you have saved up and are on a budget. This has since been refunded. As long as you know this, and budget for it, the hotel is very good and reasonably priced. Would stay here again.
