Booked this hotel for a quick overnight stay during our drive from Orlando to Houston, hoping to relax before finishing the trip home, but it turned into a nightmare. Check-in was slow and we were charged an unexpected $29 destination fee per room that was not clearly disclosed. The so-called perks were difficult to use—complimentary drinks were limited to beer or wine only, and despite calling repeatedly for about 30 minutes, no one answered the phone to use the $15 restaurant credit. The hotel layout is extremely inconvenient, with guest rooms far from both the lobby and parking, requiring multiple elevators and/or escalators, which was especially frustrating after a long drive with young children. Our second room was filthy, with dirt and hair in the bathtub. I called immediately for housekeeping, waited over an hour, then another 30 minutes, and eventually had to walk to the lobby myself. When housekeeping arrived, there was a language barrier, and despite explaining twice that only the shower needed cleaning, it was barely sprayed—no water was run and the hair remained. I ended up cleaning it myself and later found hair around the toilet and trash under a chair. After driving over 10 hours, I was exhausted and just wanted to shower and sleep. Parking was expensive, room service never answered, and the air conditioner barely worked, leaving us hot all night.
