Great place to stay near Bourbon St.

We stayed in the courtyard and our room was spacious with high ceilings. Great bathroom size and good shower. We will be back again.

First- we requested connecting rooms and were told “ the deluxe rooms we booked didn’t have conjoining doors, but they would put our rooms next to each other. When we check in we are at opposite ends of the hall and one room is joined to another room, but the other room isn’t. So they have us two rooms that typically go for different rates but charged me for two of the more expensive ones. Second- the rooms are filthy, we have to clean everything before we could use it. Only one room had a fridge. Only one room had a balcony. Only one room had a hair dryer. The coffee maker in one room was already filled with water( god knows how long that’s been there and what mold is growing inside) our beds had sheets and thin throw blankets in one room and full comforters in the other. The staff didn’t seem to care about our concerns…would not recommend

Quiet but Close to Bourbon St.

We’ve stayed here 3 times. So close to the action yet one quiet block away. An historical hotel and a cute small bar with a big story attached. The TVs need to be updated—bigger and all HiDef.

Mixed and disappointing

I have stayed at Dauphine Orleans off and on for about 24 years. The location is awesome!! The hotel has not done any upgrades to their rooms. On my recent stay, 5/8/25 - 5/11/25, the room safes had no key, (couldn't lock up any valuables) water was standing in the tub while showering, the remote control for the tv had tape holding the batteries in place and there was no phone in the room so i had to use my cell phone for service. Needless to say since there was no secure place to put my valuables I opted to leave the do not disturb sign on my door and forgo any room cleaning service. The staff and service was outstanding!! Very courteous and professional. They accommodated our request for a refrigerator in the room. The hotel needs serious updates. This is 2025 and the decor and amenities are much the same as they were in 2001, outdated. I hope there is some improvement for my next visit to the "Big Easy". I love this city and will continue to visit but maybe stay at an updated hotel. Dauphine Orleans please move into the digital world!! I should not have to worry about valuables being safe while out enjoying your city. I will be back. I hope i can stay with you and have a better experience.

4 night stay

This was our fourth stay at Dauphine Orleans. The location is great; one block off Bourbon St. Great bar/former brothel May Bailey's. Enjoyed the pool. Very historic property, kept up very nicely.

Housekeeping never came to our room. We had to beg for toilet paper. I was told i had to come get my own from the front desk. I had to walk through the courtyard in the rain to get it. Then they wouldn't give it to me. They said i had to wait for housekeeping. Well housekeeping never came. So i had to walk throught the pouring rain again. And the noise was constant and excessive. We won't be staying here again. After the parking fee, we were paying $237/night for a very mediocre experience. We'll do an airBNB next time.

Hotel looks a lot different from the pictures. Also, carpeting was damp in hallways. Bedrooms should have bedding as pictured—as it was, the box springs were exposed and the top sheet, which I am glad was white, had no pattern to make it appear finished.

I have no idea what hotel they are showing photographs of, but holy cow, are they deceiving, truly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Dirty, zero amenities, pillows like cardboard, mismatched bedding with exposed box springs, windows boarded shut. WET CARPETING. Gross bathroom. I have nothing good to say about it except that it is conveniently located. Think of the worst elements of the French Quarter, slap a roof over it, and it is the Dauphine.

This property was not as advertised. I did not get the room that looked like the picture and paid for premium and it was anything but that. They tried to appease me with an up grad to a suite but it was the same. Very musky smell and not overly clean to us. For the amount I paid this was a huge disappointment !!
