I cannot recommend staying here to anyone, but if you do, ONLY stay in the Hermann House rooms. I had three separate reservations here due to room type changes, and the first and third reservations were in the main building, which was one of the worst stays ever. Please look elsewhere than this hotel, I am not sure why other people have scored it so high. This particular review, however, is for the Hermann House rooms - very big and very comfy rooms. However, it smelled very much like mold/mildew, which is common for historic buildings, but they did nothing to try and mitigate that. Very run down and dated, furniture in the living area was stained and dirty. Staff is EXTREMELY kind and helpful.

The room was very nasty!! The rooms are not at all what is pictured on the website, the carpets were caked with dust, there was brown stains all over the bathroom. The toilet leaked on the floor constantly and the window in our room had cracked wood, resulting in the air to come through the room 24/7.

outlet behind nightstand was shorting out no water pressure in sink headboard dirty stained sheets stained towels stained toilet dirty room in general very expensive for no more than you get parking 50 a day outlets not very accessible tiny room, very tiny closet hairdryer looked like it had years of everyone else's dirt in it slow draining tub no fridge no microwave However, ALL the staff was very welcoming, polite, and helpful.

Staff was the nicest I've experience. Our room did have an outlet hanging out of the wall that wasn't usable. The water pressure in the shower wasn't amazing, but it got us clean. The TV was very staticy. But I would recommend this hotel for a decent price and due to the pool and the location.

Please remember this is a really old hotel. It was clean, comfortable and we were upgraded to a balcony room which overlooked the street which is what we wanted. However this comes with a price of really loud street noise nearly all night and room was quite small. Coffee downstairs each morning which would have been nice to have had all day, but the fridge in our room was unexpected and so appreciated. Overall yes I would stay again but get a back room to lessen noise.

Great staff and value in the French Quarter. My favorite place to stay when visiting New Orleans. This quaint hotel has alot of charm and history. A block away from Bourbon Street without the noise and chaos. Definitely can't wait for my next stay here!
