It's located 3,900 kilometres west of Washington, the country's capital.

Your nine-to-five will be a long-forgotten memory after spending a day at the Nehalem Bay Winery.

Long Beach and Arcadia Beach are great options if you want to go somewhere to kick back and relax.

The soft sounds of nature are waiting for you at Ecola State Park. It's located just 35 kilometres away, so you don't have to be stuck inside your car all day. Cape Lookout State Park, 40 kilometres away, is one more recommended option.

You'll find even more just down the road. Wheeler, 14 kilometres to the west, is popular for Nehalem Bay State Park and the Nehalem H Street Dock. Alternatively, if the Tillamook Cheese Factory and Bayocean Peninsula County Park are more your thing, head 18 kilometres southwest from Nehalem to Bay City.
