Our stay at this hotel in Montréal was a pleasant surprise. First time we ever stayed overnight in the old city but we really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

The staff were welcoming, they let us store our luggage the next day after checkout so we could explore a bit more of Montreal before heading towards our international flight and also helped to print some tickets for us. Thankyou Hotel Saint-Laurent Montreal 😀

Sadly, this is an older property, at least parts of which haven't been well maintained. After the first few nights we requested a different room because the toilet wouldn't reliably flush. The next room was nicer -- toilet still flushed slowly, but every time, and we had more space, with a small couch. The kitchens were well equipped for what they are, but every room should come with a fly swatter -- there were constantly flies in the hallways that got into our room. The price was reasonable for 2 beds and a kitchenette (good refrigerators), but lots of little repairs are needed. Staff were great.

Is this a hotel with glitz and glamour? It’s not. Is this a 5-star hotel with uniformed bell hops? It’s not. Is it without its flaws? It’s not. What it is is a great budget friendly hotel with spacious rooms and a friendly and helpful front desk. Our “room” was really a 2 bedroom apartment with a living area and full kitchen. Clean with comfortable beds. It was worn in places, but that didn’t bother us. This place would be perfect for a family on a budget visiting Montreal for a couple of days or longer.

Highly recommend for those who prefer a room with a kitchen. My room, although the decor was a bit dated, was clean, comfortable (especially the bed and pillows) and spacious. Walking distance to a lot of Montreal's main neighbourhoods as well as public transit.

We booked this hotel on 2 separate dates. One is after we came back from our Quebec City trip before going back to Vancouver. The suite we were given on our our first booking (2 bedroom eith kitchen) is Room 1400 which is dusty and moldy. The 2nd room has no aircon. The bathroom sink is a bit clogged. For the 2nd booking we were given Room 1100. Layout is the same as Room 1400 but this cleaner and the 2nd room has a fan. On both floors, the hallway smells stingy and moldy. The nice part is that it is walkable to dining areas and mall and Old Montreal
