Too many issues for a well reviewed hotel

This hotel was fine, but it had too many issues. Blackout curtains don't really black out, and the light from the AC control panel is permanent. The shower pressure is so so, and controlling the water temp is frustrating. I had ants in my room. The breakfast buffet isn't great, and they tried double charging me for it on checkout. Loction isn't great, it's sort of out of the way. Other than that, rooms are good size and service is ok.

The property is small and compact, upon arrival there was no where to park but a paid parking garage. My husband and I was unsure of the procedure to park there so I went to the receptionist for information and she explained that it’s gonna be $80 for the duration of time we will be spending there. That was an automatic turn off for both of us, but we had no choice so he parked. While we were checking in we were told by the receptionist that there is a holding fee of $200 for the two nights that we will be staying for, another thing that was not disclosed while booking. Again we had no choice as it was our wedding night and wanted to get it Over with. The POS device wouldn’t take the $200 she had to call a manager, and they ended up only taking $100. The room was nice, pretty basic hotel design. I paid for breakfast but still saw a pending fee for it on my card, had to get it rectified. Buffet option was ok. Overall it was nothing special
