Mixed Experience – Great Hospitality, But Property Needs Renovation I booked this property expecting a 4/5-star experience. While the hospitality, front desk, and staff were all excellent and very welcoming, the condition of the property left much to be desired. The hotel feels quite old, and this is especially noticeable in the rooms—particularly the bathroom, which was extremely small and outdated. Despite being given a room on the top (11th) floor, it lacked the charm and ambiance I expected from a high-rated property. The bathroom was so cramped that I struggled to keep my makeup and toiletries in place without them falling over. Full marks for service and staff friendliness, but the property itself definitely needs renovation to elevate the guest experience. A more modern, luxurious update—especially in the rooms and bathrooms—would make a big difference

Very nice property, great location, access to public transportation, nice pool area Only one elevator worked which made for long wait times, Towels for the Beach are provided by a contractor and is an extra $38.00 per day, no charge for Towels at the Pool. The Hotel charges 18% service charge but did not disclose it and it gets folded over when you receive the bill. Would have preferred to be made aware of it

The hotel has 2 elevators. 1 apparently hasn’t worked for a long time and the other was intermittently not working during our stay and we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to our room. Also, beware of the extra fees for parking and the automatic gratuity that is added to add food and beverages.

Stayed here for my birthday on a solo trip and really loved the resort. The pools are amazing and the pool layout area is really nice and peaceful. The surrounding areas are nice and clean I felt safe being on my own. The beach amazing and great service from the hotel there

This adults only hotel is fantastic. The room, lobby, restaurant, bar and beach is incredible. But the relaxing pool area with great food, attentive service and friendly bar really stands out. We have stayed at the large resort hotel in Miami where you are basically land locked their but at The National you are walking distance to so many more great shopping bars, restaurants and entertainment. Best hotel in South Beach.

Love the location, the pool area, the beach area, the staff, and the restaurant! Pool cabana rooms are amazing. Just a minute away from Lincoln as well as Washington for food and shopping. This is our favorite spot in Miami!

Beautiful adults only hotel and great location for beach and shopping. As the fire alarm going off for over 3 hours and staff not knowing how long it would be on our Friday night, I would have given additional stars.

The staff at National Hotel were surprisingly rude, unhelpful and tried to over charge us for food and drink items and only reversed the charges when we pointed them out on the menu. Worst service I’ve had in any hotel I have stayed at and we often go to high-end hotels. There were prostitutes everywhere on the property as well, and it was clear that men regularly brought them to the property or they were provided by the property. Stay somewhere else.
