Family accommodation in MLK University

Breakfast was the minimal fare but enough to get you going. Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. This is close to the interstate so convenient with minimal road noise.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The vibe is so fun and carried out throughout the property. There are so many spots to hang out and relax. Highly recommend.

The lady that checked us in was very friendly.

Clean room,Awesome staff.parking is decent. Customer please be aware there is NO ELEVATOR in this hotel. So just be mindful where your room is,as too where the stairs are.

The breakfast was good. Room appeared clean. However when I took the iron board down there was a cockroach.

We recently stayed at The Read House hotel in Chattanooga and were very disappointed by how a serious cleanliness issue was handled. Ou our first evening, we found a live cockroach in our room. We killed it and immediately called the front desk. Someone to pick up the tissue with the bug, without saying a word and left. We never received an apology, follow-up or any acknowledgement afterward. At checkout, we mentioned the incident again to a different staff member, and she didn't react or apologize either, which lead us to believe that this was not an isolated incident and that the hotel staff is aware of the issue. For a hotel in this price range, we expect at least a basic acknowledgment of the situation and some reassurance that it would be addressed. This experience really affected our impression of the hotel.
