Very modern and clean, quiet, safe and reasonably priced. But the outstanding feature is being right in the heart of Gion, both to the North and South areas, plus on the river just across from Ponchoto alley.

Kyoto overlooking the river

We had a very nice three night visit. We enjoyed the breakfast ( and very much appreciated the extra mile in delivering one for 6:00 am the day we had an early start). The location is wonderful, our room had a river view and when we stepped out the hotel right into Gion and its wonderful ambiance.

This property was is such a good location. Right across from the river. There is a beautiful walking path along the river that you can take to get to any of the main streets of Kyoto. The hotel staff was so friendly & accommodating. I appreciated that this was a quieter part of Kyoto but, walking distance to any popular destination & amazing food spots! Would definitely recommend!

The location was golden! Walkable to many touristic sites, very lively area next to the nice river walk which had many blooming cherry blossoms. Rooms were traditional with many modern features.
