Great location, very walkable, with many fantastic restaurants / cafes easily accessible on foot nearby. Very clean hotel with a lovely, welcoming, helpful team working there, Lee at the front desk was incredible !!! I absolutely would stay here again.

Ok but not great

This hotel was fine. We had just stayed at a really lovely hotel just prior which made this hotel seem a little cheap by comparison. It’s giving Best Western + It did the job but if I was coming back, I’d pick something more boutique.

The Cross Hotel is located just a short walk from the City Hall train station making it very easy to access if you take the bullet train to Kyoto station. The staff helped make our check in a breeze which was nice having just taken the train to Kyoto with all our luggage. The hotel itself is absolutely lovely. Very modern. Our room was bright and clean and very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were beautiful. We loved the coffee bar in the lobby that was open 24 x 7. We also loved the location for proximity to restaurants and shopping and trains to the various temples we wanted to visit.

Perfect location to do anything and evrything in Kyoto. Its near by public transportation such as subways and bus. Theres a Geisha performance right down the steeet as well as all the shopping you could ever do. Plenty of places to ear within walking distance and the hotel had an upscale feel and vibe which was very nice.

Prime Hotel in a Great Location

Amazing hotel in a prime location a couple of blocks from the river and close to a lot of dining, shopping, entertainment, and transportation options. About 10 minutes via taxi from Kyoto Station and a 10 minute walk to Gion. Our room was a great size and much larger than what we expected for a hotel in Japan. The room was clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of options as well.

Incredible hotel!

The whole time was amazing. From the moment we walked in I was amazed at the hotel itself. A must see and definitely worth staying at. Perfectly centered in the heart of Shinjuku. Loved walking to the hotel at night because it is so beautiful to the whole city lit up with lights. Only think is every room is small in Japan so don’t be surprised.
