Hotels In Daydream Island

Daydreaming about a sunny beach getaway while you’re supposed to be working? There’s nowhere better than Daydream Island to fulfil that fantasy! Picture pure white sands, clear blue waters, and palm trees, with the totally gorgeous Great Barrier Reef right on your doorstep. A magical piece of Queensland’s Whitsundays, Daydream Island is fab for cocktail-loving resort-dwellers, nature-explorers and beach-goers alike. Book your Daydream Island accommodation with us below and wind down with some island time!

Wondering what’s so special about Daydream Island? It’s a private island! That means there’s only one (fabulous) resort, Daydream Island Resort and Spa. And while the island is only small, it packs a punch in the beauty department. Even better, you can explore it all on foot! Journey into the dense jungle at the centre (just follow the sound of the squawking rainbow parrots), unravel your beach towel on one of three dazzling beaches, or explore the world beneath the ocean’s surface. Diving and snorkelling is super popular, as is jet skiing, kayaking, parasailing, stand-up paddle boarding, beach volleyball and even coconut lawn bowls. A highlight though is Daydream Island’s Living Reef, where you can handfeed resident stingrays, sharks and barramundi, and take part in daily shows.

If you prefer your island holidays more serene, you don’t even have to leave the resort. And any day-trippers to the island are shunned to the opposite end of the island, so privacy is guaranteed. Kick back on the beach, by the pool, or check in to the fab Rejuvenation Spa. With a holistic approach to wellbeing, you’ll be chilling out with a massage, facial or naturapathic consult in no time. Prefer a cocktail kind of treatment? Swim straight up to the bar and sip it straight from the pool overlooking the ocean. And when you’re hungry, the resort’s restaurants are top-notch!

Getting to Daydream Island

Despite its exclusivity, getting to Daydream Island is a breeze, as it’s one of the closest islands to the mainland. There are two main routes to get here. Either catch a flight to Proserpine and then a sea transfer from Airlie Beach, or fly to Hamilton Island and grab a sea transfer from there.

So how’s that daydream going? Ready to make it a reality? If you’re imagining pristine beaches, a chilled out resort lifestyle and a bit of island nature to explore in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, you won’t be disappointed! Book your accommodation on Daydream Island with us.
