Great value for the price

Really great room with a kitchenette and a small shared courtyard. I was worried at first because in a page left on the bed there were multiple comments ab of it keeping noise down and there were ear plugs left for the guest which made me think it was going to really loud. It wasn't. I liked the location because it's super convenient to grocery stores and the tourist info ctr is next store. The walk to the waterfront is easy and less than 10 minutes and safe even after.dark on the main roads. The owner was really nice and even did a small load of laundry for me which they don't offer. The only negative is that the wifi isnt good. Make sure you have plenty of data.

Great value for money

We stayed in the family room and really enjoyed our time at Knysna Inn. The family room has a lounge with couches and dining table and chairs, fully equipped kitchen, two rooms and a bathroom. We had covered parking, the accommodation is close to many shops and restaurants, and the staff went out of their way to help and make us feel welcome. Great value for money.

Comfortable stay over in Knysna

Very comfortable. Excellent location. On-site parking easily accessible. Room was comfortable. No view, but I didn't need one on this business trip. Staff helpful and efficient. I had no complaints at all.

Unhelpful, unfriendly and uninformative.

I always try to seek the positives so let's start with this.. Positives: Comfortable room. Good location. Secure parking. Secure accommodation. Good price. Negatives... Such an unfriendly check-in. The woman spoke absolute minimum words to check us in. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. She never showed us around. We never even realised there was a restaurant until since reading reviews post our stay, shame as we would have utilised it. This is the 6th accommodation since our holiday in S.A., we are astonished at the unfriendliness considering the very warm welcomes we have received elsewhere. This definitely tainted our stay. Wifi did not work in our room but connection was stronger in the lounge. A fan was provided in the room as there is no AC but it was sooooo noisy it kept us awake.

A decent stay

The hotel was clean and in a decent location. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan. The one downside was there was no hot water the following morning for a shower. The hotel had secure parking and we felt very safe. The location was a 7 min walk from the lovely harbour. I would recommend this for the price of the hotel.

The place itself was fine, staff were friendly and helpful to a point- they seemed concerned that doing certain things would get them in trouble with the owner. The kitchen is a microwave a fridge a sink a kettle and a toaster, no oven or hob and there's shared braai areas. On first impression as its in the main road we were concerned but once in the hotel it was actually good. We did have a room at the back and didnt hear any traffic noise there were 2 rooms closer to the road which may have suffered. The only real problem we had was actually in booking and paying before we arrived. When we booked the website said we would pay on arrival, the hotel then tried to take payment from our account (there wasnt any money in said account so it was declined) chris then explained our booking would be cancelled without immediate payment in full, as we hadn't envisaged spending that money in September we asked to pay half on 25th sept and the other half 25th oct to which chris agreed, it was only upon trying to hire a car in early october that we found they had taken the second payment early- therefore blocking our account and leaving us stranded at the airport without a card to secure the car hire, i then had to use an international card for which there was a charge (in summary we were charged close to r800 in bank charges because of the hotels error) up on emailing regarding the issue the reply just thanked us for payment and confirmed our booking was paid in full.
