This popular city is home to around 360,000 people, as well as stacks of adventures to check off your bucket list. Arriving by air? After you've hit the tarmac at Shinshu - Matsumoto Airport, you'll need to go 90 kilometres northeast to get to Kijimadaira. The suburb is 40 kilometres to the northeast of the city centre.

Kijimadaira is a magnet for sightseers. A good number of the city's top attractions are strewn near this appealing neighbourhood, including Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort and Lake Hokuryuko. You should also be sure to pay a visit to Kijimadaira Ski Area and Kijimadairayamabikonooka Park. While you're here, consider going to some other neighbourhoods to appreciate more of what Nagano has to offer. Snow Monkeys and Shimotakai-gun are great suggestions that are nearby.

Stayed 3 nights in an executive room on the 10th floor. It was clean, spacious, and with a good view of the station and the mountains. Will stay again.
