A visit to Primm, 19 kilometres to the south, is on the list of many travellers. There's loads of things to do here, including the Primm Valley Golf Club and Fashion Outlet of Las Vegas.

You don't have to be stuck on the road all day to witness a bit of nature around these parts. Just 45 kilometres out of Jean, Red Rock Canyon is an excellent place to get out into the fresh air. Even more peaceful surrounds are waiting for you at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 35 kilometres away.

If you're the sort of traveller who loves becoming immersed in the vibe of the area you're visiting, Cox Pavilion is one for your must-do list. Look into what live events are on during your holiday and roar along with spirited local sports fans. You'll find the arena 40 kilometres away in East of The Strip.

The CompuSport Golf Training Academy is a hotspot for local golf enthusiasts. Join them with a couple of games before treating yourself to a cold drink at the clubhouse.

Leave a plume of white powder in your wake as you race down the trails at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. Powder hounds will also want to load up the car and head to Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Chair 2.

If you travel 17 kilometres northeast from Jean, you'll find Sloan. Some travellers like to use this as a base when checking out the M Resort Casino and the Southern Highlands Golf Club.

Approximately 75 kilometres to the northwest, Pahrump is a place chock-full with things to do. The Pahrump Valley Museum, the Lake View Executive Golf Course and the Pahrump Valley Winery are all nearby. That said, the Pahrump Nugget Casino and the Yucca Mountain Science Center are also worthwhile.
