Great location in the old town and not too noisy.

This hotel is in a great location in the heart of the old quarter of Bilbao. It’s also within easy walking distance of the museum, along the river, and the main shopping district. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time and were able to leave our luggage with the reception staff, while we had a walk around Bilbao. When we returned later, our luggage had been taken up to our room. The hotel is boutique -style, in an old building that has been given a contemporary makeover internally. We found our room very comfortable and clean, and we were given a couple of cans of complimentary soft drinks, and beer (which don’t get replaced for free once you’ve drunk them), but water is topped up daily, foc. We were also given a voucher for a drink in the bar. I particularly liked the large bathroom with L’occitane toiletries, and the little Juliet balcony, which overlooked one of the old side streets (so it can get a little noisy with bar noise, at night). We had good weather during our stay and it was nice to be able to open the large windows to let air in. The air-con was very quiet during the night, and the layout of the bedrooms meant we didn’t really hear much noise from any neighbouring rooms. There is also a safe in each room, which is always useful for securing valuables/passports etc. The reception staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. On our last day, they allowed us to store our luggage, following check-out, until we needed to collect it late afternoon.

Great location in Old town

American style hotel across the bridge from main city area that is easily walkable. It has an underground parking garage across the street and the old area of the city is right behind the hotel with GREAT dining options. Only complaint is that the bathroom is in the middle of the room with glass walls that are frosted in the middle.

The room and communal areas were spotless. We didnt use the spa or breakfast facilities so can't comment on those. Our only regret was that we didn't go for a room with a view and had a room at the back which faced the wall and was a bit dark. Also, would be great if the skybar was open a bit later and was a bit bigger as it did get crowded and the bar downstairs wasnt open. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel has a fantastic location for exploring Bilbao.

Roof terrace is useless and staff not very helpful.
