This hotel was a bit more of a splurge for me but I'm glad that I stayed here. Room was clean with excellent amenities. The staff was friendly and kind. Excellent location. Everything I wanted for my visit to Bilbao was walkable. I highly recommend it.

Centrally located, clean hotel, with courteous staff. Unfortunately, the taxi they called for us overcharged us (almost double the rate), which took us by surprise. The driver did not speak English, and we did not speak Spanish. He did not turn on the meter and demanded the "flat rate to the airport". Other than that, we did not have any other issues with the hotel.

Great location and cute hotel. But even though it says parking in site. There is none. Had to walk across the river to a public parking/carwash. Thankfully there was an attendant that helped park the car. The space was so small it would have been a nightmare. Aside from the parking everything was great.

Nice modern boutique hotel in a good location. Rooms are generous sized and staff was very professional and helpful. Welcome sparkling wine upon arrival was a nice touch.

Spacious room with a view

We loved our spacious river view room and appreciated the nice little welcome touches and cleanliness of the entire hotel. The king sized bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and we loved the bathroom and free slippers. The staff at Hotel Tayko were friendly and helpful and we would stay there again if we make it back to beautiful Bilbao. Great location for our 4 day stay, walkable to almost everything.

Just like each region in Spain has its own flavor, so does each hotel. We’ve had the luck of staying at wonderful hotels but so far Hotel Tayko has raised the bar. The staff, service, cleanliness were incredible. As far as cool factor amazing design of the room and what a location. Perfect for strolls to all the best Pintxo s and restaurants in town. I must say one of my favorites stays of all time and I leave in love with Bilbao. Beautiful location and people.

This is an excellent hotel with a very good location. The staff is very helpful and waitress Anna was great. The breakfast is very generous and one of the best I’ve had. The room is comfortable and amenities good.

Very Friendly Good Quality Hotel

This is a well located hotel for sight seeing and being close to restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a river view room and it was a nice size and clean with some nice extras like slippers, tea and coffee making facilities. The architecture in the hotel is a very interesting feature and was what drew me to the hotel in the first place.

Stricking design, may not be for all tastes (good fit for mine). Amazing restaurant on site (well ahead reservations a must for lunch and dinner), nice bar. Rooms on the smaller side (unless you book a junior suite or a room denominated "extra") but very comfortable. Right at the edge of the historical quarter, and short walking distance from the modern downtown where all the upscales shops and also great restaurants are. But most important, staff ois great!

Tayko Hotel is phenomenal. Arguably the best hotel on the trip. Finishings are amazing, beds are very comfortable, great soundproofing. Staff are very helpful. Centrally located in old city and on the river. Great views. Didn’t want to leave. If you’re staying in Bilbao; book here. You won’t be disappointed.
