Does not look like the pictures. Shower temperature wildly fluctuates no matter what you do, walls are very thin and people party here.

It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the staff was quick, efficient, and helpful, and the room was clean and well appointed. We didn't check to see what the breakfast options were like as we'd seen a café (the Cottage Café) across the road (which was excellent btw). The only downsides were the limited parking (I parked on the street until I saw someone leave), and the soundproofing. Every time someone opened and closed a door nearby, it sounded like someone was entering our room. But those were both minor issues, and we were happy with our stay. And the cleaning staff were really friendly too.

What a great hotel and location! I hadn't been back to Nova Scotia and my hometown of Dartmouth in 28 years, and to find a nice clean hotel that was in a central location to everything, at an affordable price, was awesome. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is clean with simple but essential conveniences provided... its perfect! Love this hotel!!!!!

each room seems to have a theme. the 3 rooms i saw were asian inspired, or african inspired..which i guess was kinda cool. The furniture was quite worn, one room smelled stongly of bleach however walking on the floor with white socks or bare feet was not a good idea as the wooden floor was quite dirty. swept but dirty. one room smelled of old cigaret smoke. but i would stay again as hotels in halifax are rediculously priced now. but look for a deal on expedica or some other place as the 200 price they are currently asking is too high.

The area was very sketchy and the clientele inside was also sketchy. We left and didn’t spend the night, moving on to a better neighborhood. There was drug activity right in the open across the street so we did not feel safe.

This is an older hotel that needs a refresh but overall, it’s a decent place to stay. The beds are comfortable and it’s in a decent location. One thing I DID NOT like was that they asked for my driver’s license upon checking in at the hotel. I thought they were just going to look at it as ID but they took it and copied it. With identity theft happening, I was not happy that I was required to agree to this to stay there.
