Ever wondered why Niagara Falls - Western New York is on so many travellers' must-do lists? Well, we reckon its impressive lakes and gorges have something to do with it! Spend your nights in Gasport and you'll be in a fab spot to explore them.

It sits 500 kilometres north of Washington, the capital of United States of America.

There are lots of family-friendly places, including Royalton Ravine County Park and Vizcarra Vineyards at Becker Farms, if you want to fit in some quality time with the children.

Keep your eyes open for seashells to start a collection or try to spot small animals like starfish and crabs at Hamlin Beach State Park and Ontario Beach Park. You'll find these appealing pieces of coastline 50 kilometres and 75 kilometres away, respectively.

Mother Nature's artwork is on full display in multiple places around Gasport. Just 45 kilometres away, Bridal Veil Falls is a superb place to begin. Niagara Falls State Park sits 45 kilometres away and is another pleasant spot for some peace and quiet.

Are you thinking of stopping by the Willowbrook Golf Course and Lockport Caves? They're close to the centre of Lockport, 13 kilometres to the southwest. Alternatively, you could go to Appleton. It's 14 kilometres to the northwest of Gasport and popular for the Chateau Niagara Winery and the Hrvol House Museum.

You may have the urge to book a hotel room in Youngstown for a bit. This destination is 35 kilometres to the west and quite close to Fort Niagara State Park, the Fort George National Historic Site and Living Water Wayside Chapel. Some other nearby attractions are McFarland House and the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre.
