In terms of attractions, Windsor has some real corkers. Located 25 kilometres to the south, here you'll discover the Fox Theatre, the Detroit Institute of Arts and Belle Isle.

Up for a little time out with Mother Nature? Grab your car keys and take off to Maybury State Park, 50 kilometres from Fraser. Alternatively, take a breath of fresh air at Algonac State Park, 40 kilometres away.

Experience the electric atmosphere of a live baseball match at Comerica Park. If your visit coincides with game day, wear a little navy blue, white and orange and support the home team, the Detroit Tigers. You can also learn some interesting facts about the club and the arena by going on a guided tour.

Leave a plume of white powder behind you as you whiz down the slopes at Pine Knob Ski Resort. Powder fiends will also want to test out the snow at Mt. Brighton.

Head 30 kilometres to the northeast and you'll reach Fair Haven. It's home to some outstanding sights, such as the Golden Hawk Golf Club and the Oakridge Golf Club- Marsh Oaks.

Feel like going to the Lambton College, the University of Western Ontario Research Park - Sarnia-Lambton and Lambton Mall? Head along to Sarnia, 70 kilometres to the northeast, and set up camp. These sights, along with Bayside Mall and Ontario Court of Justice, are all not far away.

When it comes time to release your inner adventurer, get ready for some tobogganing. That said, there aren't many better ways to experience the local region than with a bit of snowmobiling.

If you're flying back, it's wise to decide a route to the terminal beforehand. From the middle of Fraser, it's some 50 kilometres southwest to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), the nearest airport.
