An awful stay and experience!!!
We had reservations for 3 nights, June 26-29, 2025. When we arrived they told us we had to stay at the Hilton, 3 blocks away (we had no choice!), because the city construction on the street caused a break on the water line to the hotel and their water was contaminated. They treated us badly from the beginning, it wasn’t their fault, that was it! No sorry. Nothing! We had to walk to the much lesser Hilton rolling our luggage there and almost geting run over a couple of times! And then back the next day!
The following day we complained enough so they finally give us a room in the upper floors, but their AC was malfunctioning and the rug under the bed was completely soaked. We slept in this room, using bottled water to brush our teeth, but the next morning the entire rug now was completely soaked, splashing water when we stepped on it. We had to change rooms again!
Our entire stay there was awful, treated very poorly by the front desk, and adding unnecessary stress to our vacation, and to my first time in Detroit!!! And yes,we paid full price for the room. After we complained they gave us $50 food/beverage credit, but we only had a couple of drinks because we was afraid to eat anything at all!!
