The room was excellent , a brilliant breakfast & a great location just a few minutes walk from the centre of Florence. The two brothers who run the place could not have been more helpful! Highly recommended.

First the location. This is the PERFECT location for a home base. Everything was walkable and so close, we were able to stop back often and use our own restroom. Wonderful cafe’s, restaurants, shopping and sights within minutes while walking. Never needed public transportation to get anywhere. The train station is a quick walk up the street if you need it. Now the room and owner: simply the best! Everything was updated but with a classic style, fresh, clean and smelled wonderful! The linens and draperies were even beautiful. The owner was so kind and helpful. We were halfway through our Italy trip and needed clothes washed. For a small, reasonable fee, he handled everything. The mattress is very firm, much firmer than I prefer but I still slept fantastic. Room 6 is so lovely if you can request it. We can’t wait to stay again and will recommend it to friends and family!

Short but excellent stay at La Stella D’Oro. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the room was clean. Great location too, just a short walk to many restaurants and landmarks.

Great location with Mercato Centrale and famous Za’za restaurant just 3 minutes walk away. There are plenty other food options around. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Great Hotel Conveniently Located

We stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful time. Our room was spacious, our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was like a spa. The entire facility was spotless. Excellent breakfast buffet is available at extra cost. Enrico is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

This was a simple room with good mattress and shower. Breakfast was good and location was near all our activities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Walk from the train station is a bit difficult, with luggage and narrow, crowded sidewalks.

Great communication with the property. They reached out prior to arrival for estimated time. They were there to greet us. This is a very conveniently located piece of property that makes it easy to get to mass transportation, as well as cultural sites. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom.

Great BandB

Enrico is fabulous running the B and B. The room we had was lovely though it wasn’t a space to hang out. Only one chair. Bathroom very nice. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast with large variety of food. Perfect cappuccino!

Our room was quiet and clean, especially the bathroom with its modern fixtures and spacious shower area. The additional couch and seating area was very much appreciated. Our host was very helpful with information about getting around Florence and provided a delicious breakfast during our stay.

Enrico is the perfect host and his little B&B residence is just lovely. It is well-situated in Firenze and very close to the main public market which is a MUST. You are left pretty much to your own devices (which we love but you may not). We received many suggestions from him on check in which we did mostly all of and they were all great. The room itself is large, comfortable and SILENT! Even over a noisy street. We were able to leave our bags at check out and return later which helped with our afternoon train departure. All in all a great stay.

This B&B was the perfect location in Florence, very close to the Duomo and others things. The breakfast in the morning (though we only had it the first morning) was great. He had an expression machine to make you whatever coffee you wanted in the morning, there was fruit salad, pastries, yogurt, cereal, eggs, and meats and cheeses to have. We were left a large wattle bottle, a small snack, shower caps, slippers, and more in the room upon arrival. It was very clean and updated, the cleanest place we stayed at during our trip to Spain/other places in Italy. We only stayed two nights but wish we could have done more! Well worth the money. Florence is a great place to stay. The area seemed safe and there is a lovely place to eat right next door called II Vezzo, we had the steak weighed by the grams, more expensive, but it was the best steak we have ever had and was worth the price. The pasta and bruschetta we had there was great as well. We would love to stay again during our next trip to Florence in the future! Can’t recommend this place enough!
