Fantastic hotel and perfect for shopping and sightseeing Only moan is the bed wasn’t at all comfortable. Only stayed one night but would recommend Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel and well worth paying for.

This was our first stay of our trip and it was so great! The staff was amazing helping keep our bags ahead of checkin since we got in early. Helped carry our bags, and called us a cab on our final day. Breakfast was great as well. The location is perfect if you are wanting to be close to all things food and shopping! The view of the castle is amazing and made for such a lovely trip. The shower/tub was pretty odd and small so not the greatest but every other part of the room was lovely. The lights were a bit odd at first but we figured it out after some trial and error.

Lovely hotel with a espectacular Edinburgh Castle view. Great breakfast selection and options. Perfect location with access to the Castle, Royal Mile, Restaurants, Clothing Stores, Scott Monument, even to The Holyroodhouse Palace which I walked to come back from it.

Great stay!

With the exception of one server in the restaurant who wanted to press us to discuss politics even after saying we were on vacation and not interested in doing so, we received exceptional service and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was outstanding as was the one evening meal we had there. The only negative to the room is the height of the tub, but it was manageable.

Close to everything

Nice modern hotel in the heart of Old Town snd a great view of Edinburgh Castle. Hotel amd room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Alastair at the front desk was amazing and arranged a special surprise for my mom on her 70th birthday. Thank you! The hotel is walking distance to so much stuff. Perfect location. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel, the room was clean and tidy, bed was very comfortable. Reception staff were super helpful. Only downside was room service finishes at 8:30pm and as a solo traveller for business I do tend to get to my hotels late.

Great choice

Loved the fact that there were at least six pubs across the courtyard from this hotel. It was wonderful to come back after a busy day to this very updated hotel in a quiet area and have so many great pubs right across the street.

The Apex Grassmarket was the perfect place to take my 28 yo daughter, it was in the heart of what we wanted to see and do. Staff are amazing, the conversations felt genuine and friendly. Had fish/chips, couple steaks, tacos, pizzas and Mac n cheese. It was all very tasty. Cool place, in the middle of a ton of pubs if you like a couple pints.
