Stayed in a new premium room. Was great!!! The poolside service was incredible.

This place is 8 miles off the road into a canyon. It is remote and has good views. The room is large motel room type. The general manager who runs it is friendly and competent. The grocery store she runs has a surprisingly large selection of food. You get $7 token for breakfast, but you can buy whatever you want. The room has a fridge freezer, a microwave, and a hot plate (for two saucepans). There are several pans and silverware. Hot tub is great as is the games room (table tennis and fusball). Some of the rest of property is a bit tired. Cushions on outdoor furniture is very tired as is pool. We did pop into the Border Casino. There is no doubt, this is better choice!

Very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property worked for our one night stay. 2 parking stalls for the property and easy check in with the lock box. It is an older place and could use a fresh coat of paint on the walls to brighten things up, the linoleum floors in the kitchen and bathrooms are very old with stains and there were quite a few light bulbs burnt out in different rooms & the front porch, so it was very dark when we returned in the evening. There were very basic utensils, and unfortunately there were no drinking glasses only coffee mugs. We were also celebrating a few different things and had to purchase a wine opener since one was not provided in the home. There were no wine glasses either. We did leave the wine opener for the next guest to use. The master bed had 2 pillows but the covers were more decorative (fuzzy) then a traditional pillow case which made us feel like they may not be cleaned very often. The master shower & guest shower were not very clean and the guest shower drain was clogged/slow to drain. The TV picture coloring was very blue and we attempted to adjust the coloring but nothing improved it. The TV may need to be replaced soon. When we went to warm up water for coffee in the morning, we discovered the microwave was broken. We were not able to open the door because the handle was broken. I immediately notified the host who responded back promptly suggesting to send someone over but we declined since we were getting ready to check out. This is a no frills stay.
