Sure, you could spend your entire time just in Culebra, but you'd be missing out. For even more amazing memories, you've gotta take a look around Puerto Rico's other sights. Hone your landscape photography game by visiting some of Puerto Rico's stunning beaches, coastal plains, forests and rainforest. Old towns and churches are a few more popular tourist stops worth whipping out your camera for. If the weather is nice (or even if it's not), also get out there and have a crack at some fabulous activities like horse riding.

Don't blow through before you've gone to the Sapphire Beach and American Yacht Harbor in St. Thomas. If you want to spend a night or two in St. Thomas, look into the rates at the Magens Point Resort and Marriott's Frenchman's Cove. Or, you could stay in St. John, 60 kilometres to the east of Culebra, where you can pick from the Concordia Eco - Resort and Reef Madness. Long Bay Beach and Smuggler's Cove Beach are up there with the most popular places to check out in St. John.

Just landed at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport? Feeling a bit gross after the flight? Not a problem. Shampoo and soap are up for grabs nearby at The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan. If you can't snap up a room there, suss out the InterContinental San Juan. It's also nice and close to the airport, which sits 75 kilometres from the centre of town.
