This is the best family-friendly hotel in Canmore! The service was top notch, including the lovely staff who helped with check in/out and directions to local attractions. The waterslide and pool were amazing and such a highlight! The location is great too with bike paths all around and a quick jaunt to city centre via bike to do the Policeman Creek boardwalk and sightsee the very beautiful Rockies from the bridge. The included breakfast was a nice perk too! We loved our stay and will be back again! Thank You, Pocaterra!

Not Pet Friendly... they simply tolerate them. When we checked in we had to sign a waiver which included 1) Dogs are not allowed on the couch or the bed 2) You cannot leave your dog alone in the room They also charge $30 extra to have a pet. I must say this is ridiculous. For one, if you are washing the sheets what does it matter if the dog is on the bed? The couch in our room was at least 20 years old and completely worn down. I had no interest sitting on that thing and yet my dog isn't allowed to? The place is overrun with children and teenagers (which is fine its a family hotel), but I promise you they are far more dirty than my little dog is. You can't leave your dog alone in the room but they offer a babysitter. I have no idea who this stranger is and I'm not leaving my dog with them. This isn't directed at the staff, they were all incredibly friendly. These are simply poor management rules. If my dog makes a mess, then it's completely reasonable to charge me. But don't charge me extra money up front and then prevent my dog from existing in the room.

The hotel had two major weaknesses First, there was only one elevator for the hotel with about 100 rooms on 5 floors and there was always a lot of waiting for the elevator to be used Second, the room was without a safebox

The property is getting old - leaky fawcets, old tv, poor breakfast, toilets don’t flush well and sink didn’t drain well. Staff tried but are under siege in this old building.

Extremely polite and friendly customer care made me feel very welcomed Keidar ( my apologies if I mispronounced) was particularly helpful with all my queries and I feel about this 100%, - he is a great asset to the team.
