Fantastic experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott Cancun. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was spotless and very comfortable, and the kitchenette was a great bonus. Breakfast was fresh with good variety, and the location was convenient and quiet. Excellent value and service—would definitely stay here again!

The apartament was nice except for a tolerable funky smell in the bathroom (not bothersome enough to ask for a room change). The staff is hard working and polite. They get overwhelmed at breakfast and often after 9-9:30 (haven’t been there earlier) we had to wait for cutlery and cups.However,this is because the guests don’t clean the tables as they should,even though there is a visibly designated place for that purpose.This makes it hard for the staff to wash and replenish everything in a timely manner, as they must go around the dining room to clean the tables first.To makes things worse,nobody tips.I felt bad for these employees ,sadly they tend to a low class clientele.

Room was in good condition, they need to fix their showers with doors, the water leaks out to the other area of the bathroom from the shower. They need to provide towels for each of the room member. We were 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, we were only given 2 or 3 towels every time even after explaining. I asked for extra time to check out since our original flight departure was at 7 pm that day, they said that's fine, but on the day of check out they were talking like they never agreed to it and we were only given tile until 2 pm, even in that case they took our access to the room at 12 by disabling the access card. I booked this hotel since this was the only one offering 2 queen beds in the hotel zone area and also has kitchen.

The 2 rooms we booked had maintenance issues - consistent smell of sewage in one and low shower water pressure, poor sink drainage and loose faucet in another. Also, the rooms were musty and extremely dusty. Housekeeping did not clean well and did not provide a proper replenishment of towels or wash cloths. Additionally, customer service was poor from Andrea at the front desk. She was nonchalant and seemed uninterested in our complaints. However, Carlos was great and helped us with a room change. His service was memorable. Ulises at the restaurant upstairs was also great.

Nice clean hotel with spacious room. The only downsides are the lack of readily available transportation to/from the hotel (except the hotel offered scheduled location specific shuttle) and the mediocre breakfast buffet, which is definitely not a Marriott standard.

The staff are friendly, and the hotel’s location is great. However, the airport shuttle service was extremely disappointing. We landed 15 minutes early and still had to wait nearly two hours for pickup. The shuttle is operated by a third party (MTS), and because passengers were staying at different locations, they were unable to find available vans to pick us up. The hotel room itself was acceptable but not very clean. There was leaking around the dishwasher area on the floor, likely from previous guests, and we noticed bug or mud residue on the ceiling—something we didn’t see initially because we were not in the room during daylight for the first two nights.
