What a disappointment. I'd always regarded the Crowne Plaza as a 3- or 4-star hotel but was sadly disappointed. We had booked a junior suite and expected a nice big room. Arriving at about 8pm and tired after a long delay in the aircraft, we found It was a big room (70 m2 ?) but there was no hanging space for clothes and no drawers! We complained and the Manager, MABI, quickly came to help. However the best he could offer was a room on a lower floor which did have hanging space for clothes but again no drawers so it meant living out of a suitcase for 7 days. There is only one set of lifts which meant a walk of a hundred meters or more to the restaurant or exit. Restaurant hours are limited. 6 am to 10am and 5pm to 9pm (approx.) outside of these hours (except for a happy hour at 4.30pm) there is only room service and there is no coffee shop. It’s obviously a family hotel and there were many children. Unrestrained children at the breakfast buffet are a nuisance and a health hazard. Servicing of rooms was adequate, but items (eg tea bags) were often not replaced.
