Disappointing
We stayed here 1 night on our travels through Nova Scotia. In its prime I’m
Sure this hotel was lovely & grandiose. The rooms were nice, clean & spacious but unfortunately the bathroom needs a gut job. It was relatively clean but there was mold visible on the bathroom tub tiles. It’s the tiny details that made me rate this hotel lower than excellent…like peeling paint on the window sills, paint spills on the floor tile & mirror frame. On the positive side the bed was great and the dinner in the hotel was excellent as was our server.
Stuck us in a postage stamp outdated room with a view of the parking lot. No room to open your suitcase except on the bed. Bathroom shower head was a cheap plastic fixture that barely had a few drips coming out. Tub taps were ancient and you had to constantly turn either the cold or hot lower or higher depending on who else was using water in the next rooms. The "Free" breakfast buffet was very good, the room was just bad.

We were given a water view room. It had a king size bed that took up most of the room. The tiny bathroom was ok except the door wouldn’t close The duvet was clean but the batting was bunched up The headboard was vinyl covered with what looked like fingernail scratches cut into it. The window was painted shut and the paint on the walls by the window was peeling off. On the outside the building is upscaled and beautiful but the room was substandard
Breakfast was decent. In the two weeks we travelled around the three Maritime provinces the Digby Pine Golf Resort and Spa was the only hotel I would not stay in again. Pricey and very disappointing!

Beautiful grounds, views, friendly staff and the breakfast included is an excellent perk (food is always delicious!) Pool area is lovely, gorgeous flowers (amazing rhododendrons!) The bathroom in our room was in desperate need of a complete update. Plumbing was not working properly and very dated. Other than that, we have been visiting The Pines since 2010, we still love it and it is a special place!
Everything was great except they ran out of some things at breakfast as they weren’t prepared for how many people came from outside the hotel to breakfast on that Sunday. All in all everything else was 5 star.
It is a beautiful property that overlooks the water and the restaurant was excellent. However, the room I was in was extremely small and did not have an office chair nor adequate desk space to use a laptop and some paperwork.
The building needs much updating.Bathroom too small. Some outlets not working. Overall our stay at Digby Pines was disappointing. The ventilation was poor. I have asthma and had to use my puffer more than usual. The common area was ornate and lovely. The grounds were nice. We enjoyed sitting outside and the view.My husband thought the green fees were too high given the condition of the course. We will not stay there again.
It was a bucket list stay for me. I have always wanted to stay and finally got my chance although the room was very small it served it's purpose. Shower was good and hot water pressure was okay. Bed was comfortable small just a twin bed not used to that. Lol. Pillows were so comfy and fluffy. Staff were all super friendly. I did enjoy my stay. I wish I had got to use the pool. Breakfast was good lots of options.. coffee was good, and room coffee was excellent. Loved walking around seeing the hotel itself. Took lots of pictures.
The help was not very accounting on check in, some of the furniture in the common room is a bit dated, but the views from the property are amazing. The breakfast was excellent. Overall a nice place
Very noisy rooms. I couldn't sleep because there was a common door between rooms, though it was closed I could literally hear the conversations in the other room. Hotel staff is not helpful
