Great hotel and location opposite the bh2 centre for food places and parking is next door and very secure with code entry even for pedestrians

Was probably a lovely hotel in the past. Tired decor, low quality ingredients at breakfast.

Our room was quite small and so was the ensuite. The bed was very high up! It was comfortable enough, but there was only one pillow per person. Towels in ensuite quite thin. Really lovely and quiet, even though we kept our window open. Breakfast was okay, not much choice for vegetarians. Location of hotel is great. Walk down passed the hotel car park and you are on the path overlooking the sea in minutes. The Durley Dean is a beautiful building. The inside is reminiscent of traditional hotels of day's gone by. All perfectly adequate for a holiday by the sea.

Hotels can always be a little noisy but when You allocate famalies with small children.in the rooms above single rooms it's not exceptable to be woke up at 5 am in the morning with childen stomping about on the floor and having to phone reception to complain .maybe just a thought on your part would make the stay more pleasurable Sincerely Anthony room 39

Very good

Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights while visiting a relative in the area. While the hotel is a little dated decor-wise the lounge areas, conservatory & the bedroom we had were very spacious & very clean. The restaurant for breakfast is really nice & while the food & service was good a bit of variety on the fruit options would have been welcome - melon & pineapple on all the days we were there is a bit boring! First hotel buffet breakfast I've come across that also didn't offer any yogurt to go with the fruit options. Great cooked breakfast though! Thanks also to all the friendly, helpful staff - nothing was ever too much trouble & we felt really welcome.
