Visited in October. My daughter and I walked in and it smelled like bug spray. I checked the Expedia site and it said nonrefundable so we continued to the front desk. The lady behind the desk sent us to the stairs which were behind the front desk. When we reached the top of two flight of stairs it was dark and there was paint everywhere. Clearly a construction zone, not marked, no warning but blackness. I got paint on my clothes. First night in Boston. We walked downstairs to inquire why we were sent through a dangerous construction zone and when the Manager Jonas got on the phone, we were told if we were going to be a problem to just leave, he was not helpful. I got a hold of Expedia and our $303 was refunded because of how bad things are at this hotel. There were two people at the front desk, the boy refused to give us the Managers name, the lady did. The lady made an effort to make things right by showing me the elevator and trying to take me to our room. The elevator walls were held on by duct tape. It’s true, I will post the video if I can. This place is scary and owes me a new travel suit.

The staff were great. There were numerous issues while we stayed, some can be blamed on the renovations but I wish they were clearer on the extent of renovating impacting the stay. We found out the day before that water would be shut off at 8am the next morning, on our single sleep in day. So we had to Be up early and out if we wanted water. Also our bathroom door routinely tried to trap us, we had to finagle it open and closed every time. It was very loud and took some upper body strength. Hot water took at least 30 mins to eventually arrive, even then it sat at lukewarm. Not the worst offense, but a grievance was the shower head was at my eye level and I’m not tall. There was also a constant loud sound, it sounded like someone drying their shoes but it was everyday all day. Our key also didn’t work for a day but they were able to fix it the next day. No bugs or anything like that and the beds were comfy. We were just frustrated by some of the issues that arose.

Very old outdated hotel. Looks like a 70s hotel that's never been updated. No light switch by door, door doesn't close automatically, bathtub shower very slippery( no mat), no alarm clock, wooden sliding pocket door at bathroom. Had to pull teeth to get early check in and checkout, can't text guests. Only recommend this hotel if you're on a tight budget.

Room was very recently remodeled (within the past couple of weeks) and spotless. Staff was helpful and friendly. The price was substantially lower than nearby hotels. The only problem during my visit was that renovation was ongoing, so the fitness room was not open, and the breakfast was limited. But the friendly staff made up for it.

The entire building needs to be condemned. There are growing colonies of mushrooms growing within the walls and from inside bathroom doors. Water pressure and temperature are low and the front desk just asked how long did you run it for. There was a strong chemical smell within the hallways. They said the construction is only in the lobby, but it was throughout the entire building , down the hallways, all the walls. Customer service was horrible. Had to check out at 5am and wasn’t even asked why. Showed them the health hazard pictures before they refunded me. This isn’t out of spite. It’s for the health of the community. Given the location, it should either be closed forever or torn down altogether and rebuild with all new foundations etc. there is MOLD EVERYWHERE IF MUSHROOMS ARE GROWING OUT OF THE WALLS

Rooms were quiet and clean, Even though there is ongoing construction renovating part of the hotel. parking is easy and efficient and incredibly more reasonably priced than any parking in the area. best bang for the buck.
