Good cheap stay

Good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was okay but it is what you pay for, balcony was tiny and scary but good to have, only real downside was when using the shower the bathroom got soaked. Location was good for me as it was a 20 min walk to dam square.

Remarkably dirty

This place is dangerously dirty. Hotels.com knows this and STILL carries availability. Parts of my room weren't cleaned for MONTHS. After a "deep clean", the room was still dirty. Management and hotels.com fed me with optimism. An upgraded room was "being cleaned". I con only imagine how dirty it was, as that offer NEVER materialized. Towels and duvet cover had HOLES. UNBELIEVABLE. I finally checked out a day early. The peeling wallpaper in the halls revealed what looked and smelled like mold/mildew. The "laptop safe"??? not bolted to ANYTHING and no batteries. Bring your own??? Seriously??? Then, the "resolution team" decides I got value by staying there and offered a 20% refund. Which is not really a refund, it's one key cash. Hotels says they're going to audit. Sure, it's a week and this place is still for sale on their site.

The manager was nice to let us check in early. The room was tidy but didn’t feel clean. The decor is old and desperately needs renovation…even a fresh coat of paint would help. The shower did not have a curtain or doors to close so water got on the floor. The location is good so it has potential to be a great little hotel with Amsterdam charm.

Okay

We went for two nights. There were dirty/ used towels left in the wardrobe. The wall paper was all ripped. There was no shower screen, so the shower would fill the bathroom with water. It is very loud if there are people in the room above and loads of banging. The bed was extremely comfy, and there is potential if those changes got made. It is a big enough room!

Great hotel, spent three days there. Great location, close to tram and bus services and restaurants. Staff also very helpful. Would happily stay here again, bed was really comfy and huge!

£250 for 2 nights for a very tatty hotel with walls bare and no wall paper, tatty towels that were small, paint on the chair in the room, couldnt even serve a coffee because they'd run out of milk. Just awful.If it was £50 a night, that would be a different story. Wish i'd pay more to go elsewhere.

Comfy beds

The hotel is in a good location. Sandwich bar and a restaurant were across the street Beds were comfy and soft - pillows hard! Hotel staff were friendly and helpful
