I wish I could give it a 5/5 but the smell in the lobby was horrible. To the point I had to cover my nose while walking through. I’m assuming they are trying to cover any sewage smell with freshener? Staff were excellent, rooms were comfortable. The drapes in our room were covered in something that was spilled on them.

The Park Plaza in Amsterdam offers a great central location for exploring the city. You're right near the Centraal Station, giving easy access to trains, trams and ferries for navigating the city. We also easily accessed bike tours and a canal tour within steps from the hotel. The room was clean and well appointed. Our sixth floor room was quiet. Friends with a first floor room found there was a lot of street noise. If you have a room in the newer tower, the two elevator rides and the "bridge" crossing to the newer building does get tedious when you have done it several time in a day.

We rated the breakfast 5 star but it was not free. Wonderful selections but the price we paid I would expect a lot. The hotel was great and the outside area was very busy/noisy. It’s to be expected with the location so close to main train station which was the very reason we selected the hotel. Our overall rating would have been a 5 but the room we received was not what was pictured when we reserved it with Expedia. We expected to have a couch and chair in our room and only received the chair.

This is a great place to stay. The location is perfect, close to public transportation, which easily takes you to any of the touristy places. It's close to the red light district, which may be a turn off for some, but the best food we found was in that area (hint) . The hotel service is outstanding. The rooms are nice, clean, and really comfortable. We'd definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel close to Centraal Station

Amazing hotel, very friendly staff, within walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal and beautiful views of the canal. Fantastic weather and a beautiful city to walk around (apart from overpowering smell of weed even out of the Red Light District). Will definitely be returning!!
