We originally booked this hotel for 4 nights, excited for our first visit to Amsterdam. Unfortunately, what we experienced was the opposite of what was advertised. Upon arrival, our room looked nothing like the photos — it was filthy, run-down, and completely misrepresented. We found bugs, stains, and mold throughout the room.
We immediately went to the front desk to complain and request a refund. The staff told us there was “nothing they could do” but offered to “upgrade” us to a different room instead. Sadly, the second room had the same issues, which we documented with photos and videos.
Because it was too late to find another place to stay, we had no choice but to remain for one night — but we could not sleep because of how disgusting and unsanitary everything was. When we complained again, we were told, shockingly, that “no one receives refunds, not even if someone dies in the hotel.” This was extremely disturbing and unprofessional.
As of now, we still have not received any refund or compensation despite the blatant false advertising. This was hands-down one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
Do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
