OUTSTANDING!! I do not have anything negative to say about Secrets Akumal. The staff was AMAZING! I have never felt so pampered. Every bit of the resort was clean & beautiful. I felt that every single employee went out of their way to make our stay perfect. My daughter and son-in-law got married during our stay. It was perfect! Everything they had both dreamed & hoped for.

This property was excellent from start to finish. The room type was preferred guest: partial ocean view jr suite/king. The room had an indoor bath jacuzzi and outdoor jacuzzi. Fully stocked bar with water, soda, and beer and snacks. The staff’s service on the whole property was excellent. Extremely attentive and accomodating. There are several restaurants to choose from- Italian, Steakhouse, French, Greek, Japanese Hibachi, Mexican and full room service as well. The service for the beach was just as great for any drink or orders you need. There were plenty of pools and activities as well. I would definitely return to this property.

The food is fantastic! Don't drink enough to justify. Didn't like the smoking accomodations and they have enough bars & restaurants to make ONE smoking friendly. Hated the fact pants were acceptable and my linen shorts weren't.

We loved the resort but didn't love th beach as it was full of sargassum. That type of seaweed is very smelly, unattractive and makes the beach non-swimable. Hotel did everything to clean up daily but it' simply too much migration.

Thank you Secrets Akumal for an unforgettable vacation experience. From the moment we checked-in to check-out, the staff, service, food, etc was impeccable. Words can’t even begin to describe the beauty of this resort. We were most impressed with how the staff remembered our names which truly made us feel like home/familia. We stayed in a king swim out room with preferred club. It was perfection! We are already looking at our schedules to return next year!
