The Snowy Mountains contains huge glacial lakes and several large rivers including The Snowy, The Murrumbidgee and The Murray whose pristine waters can be explored by boat or kayak, or you can anchor down and go swimming or fishing.

You can travel to the Snowy Mountains by booking a flight to Canberra and drive or bus it to Cooma, the gateway to the region, only an hour’s drive away, or hop on a flight to Sydney and drive the distance (about 5 hours) to Jindabyne or Selwyn where you can relax in your Snowy Mountain Hotel before hitting the slopes.
