Zigzag is a place with heaps of cool stories to tell. If you reckon your life's been a bit dull lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

It's located 3,700 kilometres to the west of the nation's capital, Washington.

Escape on an adventure to some nearby natural sights. 30 kilometres out of Zigzag, Multnomah Falls is all yours to discover. Mount Hood National Forest, 19 kilometres away, is another lovely place to relax in the outdoors.

Leave a cloud of white powder behind you as you dash down the slopes at Mount Hood Meadows. Powder hounds will also want to make the trip to Summit Ski Area.

Pass some time experiencing the atmosphere of the Courses at Resort at the Mountain. If you've got time, Mountain Sports is also worthy of a stop.

You'll discover even more just around the corner. Government Camp, 15 kilometres to the east, is popular for Timberline Lodge Ski Area and Mount Hood Skibowl. Alternatively, if Cooper Spur Ski Area and Magic Mile Chairlift are more appealing, go 25 kilometres east from Zigzag to Mount Hood.

You may feel the urge to set up base in Bridal Veil for a bit. This place is 30 kilometres to the northwest and not far from Oneonta Gorge, Wahkeena Falls and Horsetail Falls. Some other nearby sights are Benson State Recreation Area and Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
