Decent hotel but has some quirks. Parking is a challenge and have to get a different parking pass every day; elevators are quirky - take one to go to your floor - a different one (which is also used by the public that cuts through from one street to the other) to go out to the street to walk around; room was nice and spacious but the bathroom configuration was odd. Breakfast food was so so - it came with our room but definitely not worth 38.00 they were charging.

We loved the location of the property. We parked our car and walked everywhere, you are in the middle of the most vibrant part of downtown Wellington and 5 minute walk to the waterfront. The hotel was a little dated but the bed were great and room was comfortable. The cable car was right beside the James Cook Arcade and there is a Woolworth in the immediate vicinity for options with food. The Whitby restaurant was located in the hotel for full dining convenience. Overall a good value for a downtown hotel.

I didn't like that their bar and coffee shop in the reception area was closed through the weekend. Poor customer service. The reception area for cars was extremely small and at times over-crowded.
