The front desk workers were not very good. She was much more concerned with whoever was on the phone then she was at anybody standing in front of her. They were out of cups by the water and we were told it could be well after four before we could check in. Our room was fine but when our friends checked into their room someone else’s stuff was already in it. This was after we were given the line of we can’t tell you what room where you’re in because we value your privacy and security.

The property was as expected. Middle of the road , nothing fancy, not a dive bar. Check in and check out was pretty easy and the ladies at the front desk were super. Location is excellent, and there is a playground / splash park / right there across from the check in and the restaurant. Great for families with small children. Rooms were cozy and clean. We were up on the second floor and had a small balcony to relax on. All in all a pretty good room in Waterton. Paid around $300 all in ,which i thought was pretty pricey for what it was, but it was in the first week of August during prime time summer season. The pool and hot tub were closed when we were there ( was supposed to be open late July)_, which was another kick in the pants for everyone there. 6.5 outta 10.

Family Getaway

A great family vacation happened due to the location of the hotel, friendly staff and excellent restaurant food. The room was clean and we can see updates have happened although one of the beds wasn’t very comfortable and pool and amenities were out of order.

Normally you can check in before posted time i asked them to get the room at 3.20 pm and they said room is not ready and have to wait until 5. Bed was not comfortable and was some insects in the wash room and shower water not powerful.for sure not worth $475 a night.

Poor management / communication

Hotel sent us an email a week before arrival that gave details about check in. Included a note that said that the pool was closed in the off season starting in September. When we arrived we learned that the pool has been closed almost all season. Since June the lady at the counter said. I said that it’s unfortunate that the email that they sent didn’t include this information as it was still within the cancellation window and we could have changed to a different hotel as we were travelling with kids. She said “yeah I don’t know why we don’t update that email.” I asked for management to speak to us about this but no one did. We were there for 3 nights. The hotel could have been more transparent about this as clearly people with children look for pools when booking. It’s disappointing that they don’t take 5 minutes to update their email that goes out and even more disappointing that management does not take the time to respond to customers. Will not stay here again. The hotel is also dated and the building we were in smells like engine oil.

Quiet and beautiful mountains surrounding us. Many things to do that are walkable since town is quite small. Room was very clean with the crisp white linens. I will definitely return with family and friends.
