"Good hotel walking distance to main town centre"
We were very happy with the room including the cost. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels provided. The room was lovely and clean. Only thing that would have been good would have been a small cook top & kitchen sink plus some cutlery and plates. The owner Brendan was helpful.

"Comfortable hotel in nice location."
Check in was accomplished without any problems. The room was quite spacious with a large, if poorly designed, bathroom. The bathroom had a lot of wasted space and for some reason a relatively small shower recess. The wash basin was very small capacity and use was hindered by the overhanging mirror. A small but adequate balcony allowed views out to the harbour area. The higher the floor the better the view. The large bed consisted of two singles pushed together which inconsequently meant one side was softer, or harder, than the other. All in all room and furnishings was very satisfactory. The hotel has a very reasonable restaurant which produced excellent meals served by very friendly staff.

"Room ok"
Room was dusty and gave the impression it had not been used recently. TV reception was constantly interrupted by showing. "No Signal" notice, which became extremely frustrating over the evening. Other than that the room was ok and traffic noise was minimal.

"Extremely well positioned and appointed. "
Helen was lovely and made some great recomendations for local activities. The Flagstaff Hill night light show was exceptionaly good and one we would have missed without the suggestion. The rooms are set up with the best attention to detail of all the accomodation we have used from Adelaide across the Great Ocean Road. Would plan next time to stay in Warrnambool a few more days as the accomodation and the area was so good.

Whaling was a popular activity in Warrnambool, and it saw great expansion and development during the Victorian Gold Rush.
