Book Waiotira hotels

I really like Grand Hotel, Whangarei. They were badly let down by Expedia, however. Having made a reservation through Expedia and having received emailed confirmations, on my arrival at Grand Hotel, the staff had not the foggiest idea I was coming. It was only through their efforts I was accommodated.

Online info to contact hotel direct - very poor. On arrival, grateful to considerate receptionist for moving two senior guests to a room not requiring stairs. A microwave and bottle of cold water in the room would be helpful especially when arriving after dining room closed.

Good location to walk around near the marina. Like most staff in Australia, they are not big on small talk. Our room, we had to keep the drapes closed because it was in a major walk-way. But it was a good room and we liked the queen sized beds. Restaurants close early on Sunday night so get in early enough to eat at 7.

Well maintained rooms, it was clean and tidy fresh towels and face cloths daily. The staff were very polite. Would go back and stay there again worth the amount paid.
