Tokyo DisneySea is part of the Tokyo Disney Resort, which opened in 2001 under the theme "Nautical exploration and adventure." Technically not located in Tokyo but the neighboring prefecture of Chiba, Tokyo DisneySea is a popular amusement park for people of all ages. Personally I like DisneySea better than Disneyland because the streets are wider, have more places to sit, and most of the waiting time for rides is indoors, which makes it nicer for those sweltering hot days in the summer. Oh and they also serve alcohol :) For those who think that the 1day ticket is pricy (at 6,900 yen for adults, 4,500 yen for kids, it really is) but would still like to go, they also provide an after 3pm passport for 5,400 yen (3,500 yen for kids) on weekends or an after 6pm passport for 4,200 yen. Or if you still want to go the whole day, you can find slightly cheaper ones at discount ticket shops. Closest Station: Maihama Station on the JR Keiyo Line.
