Holidays in Tegallalang

Tegallalang is a destination with plenty of cool stories to tell. If you feel like your life's been a bit humdrum lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

It's situated 970 kilometres to the east of the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta.

Why don't you go on an excursion to Seminyak? It's just 30 kilometres to the southwest of Tegallalang. Once you arrive the first thing you'll want to do is explore Kuta Beach, a world-famous attraction.

Denpasar is situated 25 kilometres to the south and boasts some excellent sights. Sanur Beach and Legian Beach alone will make the trip worthwhile. If you're not convinced yet, you should also take a look at Seminyak Square.

You and the little ones are going to need a nap after heading to Elephant Safari Park and Tegalalang Rice Terrace.

Sitting 40 kilometres to the northwest, Lovina Beach is a perfect spot to spend time scanning the horizon for ships. Nusa Dua Beach is also home to some gorgeous views. You'll find this strip of coastline 40 kilometres to the northwest.

The splendour of Mother Nature is on display around Tegallalang. Just 30 kilometres away, Tanah Lot is an excellent place to start. Mount Agung sits 25 kilometres away and is another ideal spot to find some peace and quiet.

One of the best ways to understand a place is to learn about its cultural sites. There are some great places to do this here. Start off at the Tegallalang Handicraft Center or the Gaya Ceramic Arts Centre.

Be sure to visit other close-by sights, such as the Tirta Empul Temple and the Gunung Kawi Temple. These are situated 4 kilometres northeast in Tampaksiring. Don't want to give back the rental car just yet? The Neka Art Museum and the Alila Ubud Art Gallery are in Payangan, 5 kilometres to the northwest of Tegallalang.

Tourists often make the trip to Ubud. This destination is 8 kilometres to the south and not far from Ubud Monkey Forest, Elephant Cave and Ubud Traditional Art Market. If you're planning to stay a little while, don't forget about the Pura Taman Saraswati and Ubud Royal Palace.

Located 35 kilometres to the south is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), the closest terminal. Make sure you give yourself enough time to reach it.
