That’s what they call “C’est la vie”. Though if you’re going to cash in your hard-earned annual leave, you definitely want to make some memories worth lying to your mum about.
When you’re ready for a rowdy retreat with your pals, a Pattaya holiday is just what the devil on your shoulder ordered. On top of glowing beaches and a giant Buddha overlooking the city, Pattaya is known for…ahem, adults-only fun. Colourful activities aside, when day breaks you can find plenty of cultural attractions, too. Book your holiday on lastminute.com.au, and you’re off to a great start.
A holiday in Pattaya has traditionally signalled the start of a shenanigan-filled, off-the-record wild time with your friends. The city has become more family-friendly as of late, but you won’t see a lot of young ones there. That’s because the top attractions remain go-go clubs, bars and the infamous Walking Street (think Las Vegas on steroids). After a night of questionable decisions, recover with a dose of vitamin D on Jomtien or Naklua Beaches, then set about investigating the cultural attractions on the Pattaya landscape.
A walk through the relaxing orchid garden of Nong Nooch can ease even the loudest of screaming headaches, and the Four Regions Floating Market is begging you to spend your paycheque on authentic Thai food, art and handcrafted items. When you need to balance the karmic effects of your late-night escapades (hey, we’ve all been there), a trip to the Sanctuary of Truth is in order. Every inch of the building is outfitted in meticulous carvings—they don’t call it “the magnificence of heaven recreated on earth” for nothing. You can take a tuk-tuk to get around, but one of lastminute.com.au’s Pattaya car hire deals will give you a bit more freedom for your adventures.
Never say Pattaya isn’t keen on liberating you from your disposable income. Indoor malls like the Central Festival Pattaya have hundreds of shops, including major designer brands. Meanwhile, the Pattaya Night Bazaar is dotted with street stalls selling everything from luggage to food.
Speaking of food, Pattaya holidays are made for acting out your best impression of gluttony personified. Go ahead, stuff your face with pad thai, fresh seafood and chicken kabobs. Feeling adventurous? You’re in Pattaya, so you better be! Grab some roasted insects from a street vendor for dessert. Mmmmmm, crunchy water bugs.
Did we mention Pattaya is known for its nightlife? But there’s more to the city than Walking Street. LGBT-friendly Boyztown and cabaret-filled Second Road are just a few of the other thoroughfares waiting to show you a good time. When you score package deals to Pattaya, you’ll have plenty of cash left over for a beer (or two…).
Book Pattaya holiday packages here on lastminute.com.au and you’re ready to have a roaring good time in Thailand. Looking for a day trip? Head north to the capital of Thailand. Bangkok holiday packages are the perfect addition to your itinerary!

Shoestring travellers can relax. Budget rooms await at the Anchana House and the Encore Walking St. Guesthouse. These digs are proof that great service doesn't need to break the bank. But if you'd rather live a life of pure bliss while you're here, The Chase and Foxlea Executive Villas or the VIP Villas In Pattaya might be more to your liking. Just sit back, unwind and let the expert staff do their thing.

This is hard to write, as I loved the staff at LK Empress, especially Kitchen staff/waitresses. The problem was the hot water in my room would only stay hot for mere seconds before going cold, and nothing I tried would fix this issue, which overall put a dampening (no pun intended!) on my experience ...
