Great location right in the Rocks and the staff are friendly but the hotel is dated. The room we had is tired and in need of a major upgrade. Toilet seat broken, bath enamel looks worn with silicone slapped around the edges encouraging mould. The air vent intake for the aircon system is clogged with dust bunnies and the furniture looks like it was picked up from the council throw out. Windows are filthy as well plus thread bare carpets. If you’re cool with that you can’t beat the location but for the price you’re paying they need to do better.

Mid-stay, my room was reallocated to another guest. They walked into my room (with a key supplied by hotel) while changing and showering. The implications for such a poorly run hotel is significant. What if I had been a single woman, or some of my possessions were missing upon my return?? I complained to the hotel and got very little in the way of explanation or apology. They offered a free breakfast, but I don’t think that even goes part way to resolving my experience. I’m waiting for hotels.com to attempt to resolve before involving my credit card company. Dated hotel with poor facilities. The hotel is run by a skeleton crew with little understanding. During the 1am fire drill, there were no visible sign of staff. During the second alarm, guests were standing on balconies internally with no info or intention of evacuation. Good location and reasonably priced, but I’d look elsewhere for a stay in Sydney. The hygiene and housekeeping were also a disaster. I can’t upload pictures to this review. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!

Location is amazing. Rooms are always clean too but the lifts, small stairs and long walk to the rooms are inconvenient. The late check in also bit difficult.

Staff were very helpful and polite. Hotel is dated and rooms are average. We were allocated a room where the bathroom was is a very poor state with a small ceiling trap door that had brown substance leak which looked like it had been there sometime and bathroom in general was not good. However reception changed our room which was better. Location is excellent. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Front desk staff were courteous and helped with storing our luggage until our room was available later in the day. Nostalgic hotel so don’t expect modern decor and fixtures. Best location for sightseeing and getting on/off cruise ship. Several great restaurants, bars, public transportation, and shopping in walking distance. Rooftop pool is fantastic. Highly recommend!

The cleaner for our room left all our dirty towels in a pile on top of the dresser. She also left her dirty rubber gloves on top of our night table, close to my sleep mask and earplugs. It was disgusting. I brought everything down to the front desk and made a complaint, and ask the manager to respond, but I never heard from anyone.
