It's well known that Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Yokoi Kogusu Memorial Hall and Musashizuka Park in Kumamoto, 19 kilometres to the southwest of Sugimizu. Or, you could consider staying in Tamana, 25 kilometres to the west of Sugimizu, where you can choose from the Satsuki Bessou and Tamana Onsen Hotel Shirasagi. You'll come across some great things to see and do in Ureshino. Todoroki-No-Taki Falls, Hizen Yoshida-Yaki Pottery Hall and the Hizen Yumekaido are up there with the best. This regional hub is located 80 kilometres west of Sugimizu and has a population of 19,000. Miyuki Park and Ureshino Onsen Tourist Information Center are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some envy-inducing photo ops. The Chagokoro no Yado Warakuen and Hana No Shizuku are some great accommodations in Ureshino.
