Due to a ferry that got in late we were only in Sorrento for 12hrs and only had time to eat dinner, sleep and grab a quick breakfast. Hotel Continental is conveniently located and has a very fun maximalist vibe with great color combos in the lobby. It’s a nice hotel but ended up being the least favorite of the three we stayed at while visiting the Amalfi coast, not that it was bad- the others were just better. Our room was hot upon arrival and when we called the desk to report the AC not turning on they yelled at us about the balcony door being open (it was closed but must not have been tightly closed). Breakfast buffet had many options but they didn’t provide any made to order options that our other hotels did. I wish we would have had time to see the rooftop, I heard it was wonderful.

The property was nice. I was disappointed that the breakfast was inside and not on a terrace overlooking the water, however, they had a nice restaurant and bar on the rooftop that had a great view at night.

The location was great with tremendous views of the coastline and Mount Vesuvius. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We would go back again.

An excellent stay in Sorrento

Excellent property all around with outstanding service, a great rooftop terrace restaurant for fine dining and sunset views with adjacent cocktail bar with live music, and enormous free breakfast with live music and food for the day, and a large pool with plenty of uncrouded lounge chairs. Location is at the quiet end of the city next to a lovely park, but a two minute walk to all the shops and restaurants.

Could do with a renovation.

The hotel has not been renovated in a long time but the linens and beds are all new and good quality. The services (all) are great, felt like old school glamour. Access is available to the beach by a seperate owner which comaes at an exorbitant cost, would be better if the hotel did a deal for their guests!!

We spent 5 days her first of May. My daughter and two adult granddaughters. Took some tours to Capri and Positano. Hotel Continental was fabulous. Wonderful buffet in the morning goes with your rooms. Girls got to use the pool and take the lift down to beach and boardwalk with chairs and umbrellas. Great location central to everything!

Staying at the Continental Sorrento was one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I, from Vancouver, have ever had. Perfect location and great hotel, but what really made the experience great was the hotel staff. From the valet to front desk staff everyone was as professional as they could be. The buffet breakfast was amazing with Antonio being a highlight of our mornings. Definately order a cappucino. You will not regret booking the Hotel Continental. Great location Great Beach. (With complimentary elevator taking you right down) Perfectly kept up Amazing all around Thank You Hotel Continental
