It lies 70 kilometres east of the nation's capital, Tokyo.

Does chilling out on the shore sound good to you? Plan an outing to Yuigahama or Shichirigahama.

Mother Nature's handiwork is on show around Sanbu. Just 25 kilometres away, Shirako Hot Spring is a superb place to begin. Izumi Natural Park sits 25 kilometres away and is another pleasant spot for a bit of downtime.

Whether you're a soccer enthusiast or you just want to be a part of the electrifying atmosphere, try to catch a live game at Kashima Soccer Stadium, the home of the Kashima Antlers. You'll find the stadium 40 kilometres away in Mito.

You should consider Gosho Shrine. It's an excellent place to explore if you find yourself nearby.
