It's 190 kilometres to the south of Seoul, the nation's capital.

There are some delightful natural sights surrounding Samsu. Why not head 45 kilometres to Naejangsan National Park? Alternatively, enjoy some of Mother Nature's finest work at Byeonsan-bando National Park, 40 kilometres away.

Join the passionate fans rooting for the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at their home ground of Jeonju World Cup Stadium, 13 kilometres away in Jeonju. Blend in with the locals by donning the club's colours, black, green and light green.

Be sure to go to other close-by attractions, such as Arirang Literature Museum and Dongjin Irrigation Folk Museum. You'll come across them 5 kilometres southwest in Gimje. Not ready to head back to your hotel just yet? The Gyeonggijeon and the Jeonju Historical Museum are in Jeonju, 15 kilometres to the east of Samsu.

Jinan, 45 kilometres to the east, is a great little excursion Use it as a port of call when swinging by the Tapsa Temple, the Eunsusa Temple and Maisan Hwaeomgul Cave. If you'd like more convincing, other nearby attractions include Maisan Mountain and Mt.Maisan.

Getting out and exploring the local area can't get much better when you can choose from activities like tobogganing and mountain climbing.
