My son & I had a wonderful stay at Marcella. The hotel is beautiful with old world Italian charm. The room was quite nice & clean & the bed was comfortable. The toiletries in the bathroom were also wonderful! The staff at Marcella was always attentive to our needs & upon arrival, the gentleman working the reception desk recommended a casual restaurant right around the corner, where we enjoyed a delicious pasta dinner with exceptional service. I definitely recommend staying at Marcella if you want to be within a few miles of all of Romes attractions.

This was a very nice hotel. However, a few things need to be mentioned that surprised us but still doesn't change how I feel about. The rooms have no AC. With the rooms being on the smaller side it tends to get a little stuffy. Opening the window is not a good option if you're a light sleeper because of the foot traffic, vehicular traffic, the garbage removal, etc. Putting that aside the staff at the front desk, bell hop, housekeeping, waiters, etc. were all very nice and courteous. They were all very welcoming and were very accommodating. I would still say it's still a very nice hotel and centrally located to some attractions. There a lot of good restaurants around also.

Perfect accommodation, just off the touristy track, but within walking distance to enjoy a few days in Rome! From check-in to check-out, staff was professional and accommodating. We arrived in the morning and stored our luggage and when we returned at the promised time, our room was ready and our luggage had been delivered. Front desk always pleasant and eager to recommend local restaurants and order taxis. A historic building with fully modernized rooms.

Front desk staff was awesome as were majority of the facilities. Unfortunately our room was very loud with lots of noise from the street, I would recommend you not get a room facing the street. Also the bathroom was horrible, very clean but the layout is awful. The door opens onto the toilet, the bathtub/shower is way too narrow and very uncomfortable. Dinner was decent as was the live entertainment but service and the restaurant was below par. Can't say enough about the front desk staff but the rest of the stay left us disappointed.
